2010 International Blues ChallengeFull-Time Blues Has You Covered!The Blues Foundation, the worldwide organization committed to the preservation and promotion of the Blues, holds the International Blues Challenge annually as a way to showcase the world's greatest undiscovered Blues talent; as well as to reward the act which is best poised to make the jump to national and international notoriety.The event has often been referred to as "The World's Largest Battle of the Bands," and encompasses an entire weekend. The 2010 edition is set for January 20-23 in Memphis, Tennessee. It is the 26th year for the I.B.C. Schedule Features Links To Further Coverage. The competition itself takes place throughout the various clubs up and down Memphis' Beale Street, with the finals being held at The Orpheum Theatre. All non-musical events are hosted by the Memphis Doubletree Hotel, unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
