Representatives for actor Hugh Laurie, who plays the title character in the Fox television series House, announced today that the British star will head into the recording studio soon to work on a Blues album. Laurie has signed with Warner Music Entertainment to release what's being described as a New Orleans album that is slated for a fall 2010 release.
Joe Henry is reportedly set to produce the album, which will feature Hugh Laurie, the 52-year-old Brit, teaming up with guests on the release. Laurie plays in the celeb group 'Band From TV' and recently scored credit playing on Meat Loaf's latest CD. He can also regularly be seen playing guitar and piano between diagnoses as Dr. Gregory House in episodes of the hit show. The actor is also a self-taught musician with a love for Blues music.
