Blues News: Cincinnati Festival Needs Volunteers
The 2010 Cincy Blues Fest, organized by the Cincy Blues Society, is being held at Cincinnati, Ohio's Sawyer Point Park August 6 and 7; and the organization needs some helping hands to make sure it is a success. The society is asking for volunteers to assist in a variety of ways - including set-up, tear down, sales, and more. According to their website, it takes the work of nearly 400 people to put this event on. Interested persons can apply to volunteer in several different ways, including via their website, by e-mail, or by telephone. Organizers say that the requests will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, although special consideration may be given to those with specific skills and experience. All volunteers are encouraged to attend a Volunteer Orientation Party on Thursday August 5th, which will feature orientation, free food and beverage, and live music.
